Bill Porter proudly played for many years for Ol' Blue Eyes himself..... "Mr. Frank Sinatra" The Bill Porter Orchestra is: "Have Class..... Will Travel" After attending high school in Chicago, where he excelled in both Music and Sports, Bill joined the Air Force Band. Followed by tours with Stan Kenton, Harry James, Buddy Rich and Woody Herman, these experiences allowed Bill to become the number one trombonist in America! Returning home to raise a family, Bill joined the staff of WGN TV. As an educator he taught area Colleges, was featured at Jazz festivals, played on hundreds of albums and commercials and toured as a Jazz Clinician. Bill also organized his own Orchestra and soon became one of Chicago's top band leaders, including his stint at Moulin Rouge Supper Club in The Fairmont Hotel.
