Vince Gibbs was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He became interested in playing musical instruments at a very young age. He started taking drum lessons at 8 years old. In high school he picked up the guitar, bass and eventually keyboards. Vince played in various top 40 bands and traveled all over the world. No matter where Vince seemed to go, he could not escape people always commenting on how much he reminded them of Prince. After seeing his first Legends In Concert show in 1994, Vince decided to become a professional Prince impersonator. Since then Vince has established himself as one of the top Prince impersonators in the world. In 2002, Vince was picked by Missy Elliott to appear as Prince in her "Work It" video. The video went on to win MTV's Best Video Music Award for 2002. Missy contacted Vince again to perform with her at Dick Clark's American Music Awards in 2003. Vince has performed for countless corporate events sponsored by top Fortune 500 companies all over the USA. In addition, John Stuart's Legends In Concert has used Vince in their one night only production shows across America. John Stuart has personally hired Vince for other jobs as well. "I really do admire Prince's creativity and musicianship," says Vince. "I think I am very lucky to be able to do what I am doing and in a strange way, I feel a unique spiritual and musical connection with Prince."
